What is Simple Life Compass?
Simple Life Compass is a blog about personal exploration and my journey to design, implement and live a better, simpler and more content life.
I know the path towards that lofty goal won’t be linear. The reality is that it’s more likely to require backtracking, reorienting, going off the beaten path, rejecting commonly held norms, often getting lost but exploring different ways forward. When the answers aren’t clear it’s impossible to have a clear step by step action plan. Instead you need to follow a general direction with intentionality and have an open mind to experience new paths that appear along the way.
Themes and topics that I’ll explore on this blog include financial independence, consumerism, mindfulness, the environment, health, photography, travel and happiness. I don’t want to reinvent the wheel. Instead my compass and starting point to will be to take initial guidance from topic experts, other respected bloggers, published research, friends and family. From there it will be an adventure to figure out what works for me and I’m hoping you’ll do the same.
My experiences, new learnings, experiments, mistakes and successes will be the basis for the Simple Life Compass blog. I’m anticipating given the universal themes covered that some of the things that I’m struggling with or striving towards will also resonate with you personally. Together we can build a supportive community of like minded explorers striving towards our best lives.
Simple Life Compass is about forward momentum, intentionally, experimentation, learning and ongoing optimisation. I want to design a better future but have fun along the way. Thanks for reading and joining me on this journey.
